Rainbow Row Print

One of the most famous architectural landmarks in Charleston, Rainbow Row is a line of 18th-century buildings built to service the bustling wharfs and docks of the port of Charleston. This group of buildings was the focal point of the restoration effort that began in the 1920s and is named for its Colonial Caribbean color scheme. Now private residences, these structures are great examples of Charleston’s adaptive use of historic buildings.
